Kindle Fire
Jeff Bezos, chief executive and founder of Amazon, unveils the company's new Kindle Fire models at a news event in California on Sept. 6. The models include a new version of the Kindle Fire and three versions of an enhanced tablet called the Kindle Fire HD. The new Kindle Fire, which has twice the RAM of its predecessor and a better battery life, will cost $159 รข" a $40 price drop.

Amazon's Kindle Fire HD tablet line was the talk of the event. The seven-inch HD model will cost $199 and will have 16 GB or 32 GB of storage and 3G connectivity as well as the dual-WiFi antennas and speakers. An 8.9-inch version, which will cost $299, will have many of the same specifications but will come with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. Amazon also announced a 4G LTE-enabled, 8.9-inch, 32GB tablet for $599.
